RETIRED POLL: Strange Weather - Is it Global Warming?
We ran this poll for a few months on the Canton.iTownOnline.com site with results somewhat consistent with national attitudes regarding the concept of global warming. In fact, our response was split firmly down the middle, with half of our respondents saying that global warming is the cause of our increasingly unusual weather, and the other half either not convinced or unsure. Do you think our cold, miserable winter had anything to do with it?
Poll Question: It sure seems like we have had a lot more severe weather lately - in this country, and the rest of the world. Do you think global warming is the cause? 13% Yes - There is a direct correlation 37% Yes - It is intensifying existing weather patterns 29% No - Severe weather and global temperatures run in cycles 21% Not sure
